Just two years ago, the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) declassified a top-secret 1960s program to put a manned spy platform into orbit. 

While Apollo got all the attention and the glory in its race to the Moon, the men and women behind MOL worked in the shadows to give America the eyes and ears it needed. 

After 50 years of secrecy, Spies in Space will be the first television program to weave together rarely seen footage from America,s secret spy satellite systems.

Nog maar twee jaar geleden heeft de National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) een topgeheim programma uit de jaren zestig gederubriceerd om een bemand spionageplatform in een baan om de aarde te brengen. 

Terwijl Apollo alle aandacht en glorie kreeg in zijn race naar de maan, werkten de mannen en vrouwen achter MOL in de schaduw om Amerika de ogen en oren te geven die het nodig had.

Na 50 jaar van geheimhouding, zal dit televisieprogramma het eerste tv-programma zijn dat zelden geziene beelden van Amerikaanse geheime spionagesatellietsystemen met elkaar in verband brengt.
